Use xinetd instead - wrappers work there!!!

Couldn't get it to work either. Ended up having to use xinetd where the wrappers are working as intended.

I ran strace on the client side and could not discern anything strange with/without vsftpd in the hosts.deny file - other than the timeout message after 300 seconds! The next step would be to download the source and run the code turning on printf statements all over the place until an issue is identifiable. However, that would seem to be way too much work for something that has an alternative solution!

What's the big deal about running vsftpd as a daemon vs. via xinetd?

Cheers,
tkb.
